Cowboys vs. Steelers…Superbowl Preview??????

The Dallas Cowboys go into Heinz Field on the Romo express which has led them to to 3 straight victories. Romo has averaged 290 yards passing and a 100.0 QB rating over the winning streak. The addition of Roy Williams to the offense has spread out opponents defense, giving Jason Witten and Terrell Owens less double coverage. Also the Cowboys have started to put Owens in motion a lot allowing him more free releases at the line of scrimmage which usually equals a T.O. celebration. Without the running of Marion “The Barbarian” Barber, I believe the Cowboys will air it out against the phenomenal Pittsburgh secondary led by one of the top safeties in the game Troy Polamalu. The Cowboys will try and pick on Deshea Townsend especially if he’s one on one on the backside of the defense against Crayton, Williams, or Miles Austin. The key for Cowboys offense in this game is to always know where troy Polamalu and James Harrison are. Harrison is third in the NFL in sacks with 14 and added with his 80 tackles makes him one of the most feared defenders in the league.

The Cowboys Defense will need to either attack the ground game and Willie Parker or stop Big Ben and the passing assault. The key for the Cowboys is to make the Steelers offense one dimensional. With the return of Adam ” Don’t call me Pacman” Jones, the Cowboys defense secondary will be ready to go. With the secondary ready to go look for the Cowboys to turn up the heat by blitzing at an amazing rate and attacking Roethlisberger relentlessly. The amount of heat will depend upon the health of Demarcus Ware’s knee. Ware, the leading sack artist in the NFL with 15, hurt his knee in his demolishing of the Seahawks offensive line in which he had 3 sacks. The Cowboys defense better keep their head against the tough minded Hines Ward. Hines affects every aspect of of the Steelers offense, wheter it’s receiving, throwing, or blocking.

I believe the Cowboys will surprise the “Steel Curtain” with deep bombs and beat the Steelers 34- 24 in a physical confrontation.
